Christopher R. Mayer is a partner of Stratos Wealth Partners, an advisor run organization that specializes in the practice and execution of financial planning and investment services.  Stratos is a national network of distinguished, experienced financial planning practices spread throughout the country and powered by LPL Financial, member finra.org/sipc.org.

Chris takes pride in being able to assist his clients through their various “life events”.  Education planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and elder care are specific areas of focus.  By assembling teams of financial industry professionals to cover insurance, legal and accounting issues, Chris provides customized solutions to address an individual’s or family’s financial objectives.

As a licensed investment professional for more than fifteen years, Chris holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Series 7 through LPL Financial and Series 66 through LPL and Stratos Wealth Partners.  He also holds multi-state insurance licenses which enable him to provide Life, Accident and Health, and Variable and Fixed Annuities to his clientele.

Chris began his financial career by joining his father, Richard, at national wire-houses, specifically, A.G. Edwards & Sons, Wachovia Securities, and Wells Fargo Advisors.  When his dad retired at age 80 after 55 years in the business, Chris made the decision to leave the “big bank” investment model.   Chris firmly believes that his association with Stratos Wealth Partners will enable him to provide independent and unfettered advice to his clients.

A Clevelander his entire life, Chris is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School and Marquette University.  He and his wife, Joan have been married for 38 years and have three children; Lauren, Douglas, and Steven.  In his spare time Chris enjoys a golf league in Brecksville, playing in a softball league with his sons, and fishing for large mouth bass.
