A financial professional for over three decades, Blake Rawson spent more than 17 years of his career managing private corporations when he realized in 1996 that he would prefer to devote his experience and training to helping people with their personal financial goals. His services today focus on retirement planning, investment management, risk management and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families as well as single, divorced and widowed women.

Blake’s process for helping clients is distinctly personalized. He begins by learning as much as he can about his clients – which enable him to take into consideration their age, health, financial needs, tolerance for risk, goals, pre- and post-retirement lifestyles, and other factors before making recommendations. His process results in strategies customized for each client’s unique situation.

Blake’s ability to help clients stems not only from his extensive experience, but also from a wealth of education. He graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He has also earned the prestigious designations of Certified Financial Planner™ professional and Certified Investment Management Analyst®. Earning those designations required advanced coursework in taxes, retirement planning, estate planning, investments, risk management and other financial planning issues. Keeping the designations demands adhering to a strict code of ethics and maintaining a vigorous program of continuing education.

In addition to experience and training, Blake brings to clients his status as an independent wealth advisor – which means he is not pressured by anyone to sell certain financial products or meet sales quotas. He is free to search the marketplace and recommend financial programs that are driven strictly by his clients’ needs and best interests. Dealing with him, clients receive a full, professional, well-thought-out financial plan, not a sales pitch.

Generous with his time, Blake has often shared his knowledge and experience as a featured speaker on retirement and estate planning. His speaking engagements have included many national corporations and non?profit organizations as well as several universities and colleges.

Blake’s professionalism has earned him his loyal following of clients. His practice continues to flourish thanks to clients recommending him to friends, family members and business associates.

A commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings, Blake serves his community as an Angel Flight Pilot. He has also volunteered for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, donated his time to advice individuals at the Financial Planning Clinic, and sat on several charitable boards.

Blake and his wife, Kim, have been married for over 32 years. They enjoy spending time together with their two dogs, sailing and snow skiing.
