Ken Renfro joined Stratos Wealth Partners with a singular focus – helping clients feel confident about the financial decisions they have made as they pursue their goals and dreams. He accomplishes this by investing time getting to know his clients, their families, and businesses, and builds a plan that addresses their questions of “Where do I want to go and how will I get there?” Then, he guides them toward that goal using a process that seeks to provide a reasonable return while seeking to preserve their assets in a world where uncertainty is a part of life.
The reason Ken works in the financial services industry is that he receives great satisfaction from helping clients plan their financial future. From his experience as a volunteer budget counselor for over 20 years; teaching individuals how to establish a budget, set financial goals and get out of debt; he builds on this experience helping people map out their future with confidence. He firmly believes that integrity and honesty are the foundation of his practice and follows the admonition in Proverbs that “a good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
Ken has spent over 14 years as a financial advisor and financial planning specialist starting his career with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney before joining the firm. Ken serves individuals, families and business owners with a wide variety of services from retirement and education planning to company retirement plans. In addition, his prior 20 years of work experience as an entrepreneur and business owner have provided a depth of knowledge and experience to deliver timely and creative strategies to the problems his clients face.
Ken graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Business degree with majors in both Economics and Management/Labor Relations. He previously received a certificate in budget counseling through Crown Financial Ministries. He has served as an elder at Morning Star Friends Church, is a board member for Agape Christian Academy serving on the finance and endowment committees, and past Board of Directors for the Chardon area Chamber of Commerce.
Ken has been married for 32 years and resides in Munson Twp. with his wife, Kathy, and they have three adopted children. They are also former foster parents. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, serving his community, hunting, and spending time with extended family and friends.
